About the office/school

The International Office drives progress against strategic objectives to increase international student enrolment, partnerships and mobility. The Office collaborates with Faculties and Schools with a focus on expanding international onshore recruitment, student mobility and development of new and existing priority international partnerships that encompass agent networks, student mobility and staff exchange.
 
About the role

The Administrative Assistant, International is critical in supporting the achievement of the International Offices operations by providing efficient and effective administrative and project support for admissions, recruitment and study abroad. This position supports the successful implementation of the International Office’s programs and initiatives that includes processing financial transactions, maintaining records, event logistics, marketing strategies and scholarships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support to students applying to UNDA.
  • Assist with applications received for Higher Education, Pathway, and English Language Bridging programs at UNDA.
  • Maintain accuracy of International Office databases of information including agent information, scholarships, events and website. Qualifications, skills & experience
  • Maintain student records and assist with the preparation of letters of offer and electronic confirmation of enrolment (eCOE’s) and maintain student details on PeopleSoft and electronically file students’ documents in the system.
  • Preparation of other correspondence, such as templates, letters of rejection and requests for further information.
  • Assist with arrangements for issuing of student visas, health insurance, scholarships and payment of tuition fees.
  • Follow-up on applications with faculties/schools, agents and students.
  • Liaise and maintain good relations with University agents/representatives regarding progress of applications, payment of fees, University entry requirements and other relevant matters.

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Supportive of the Objects of The University of Notre Dame Australia as a Catholic University.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification(s) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Demonstrated experience in International Admissions with a sound understanding of the ESOS Act and National Code.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop excellent working relationships with, colleagues, students and other stakeholders. .
  • Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills, combined with approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to operate under general direction, both independently and as a constructive team member to apply knowledge to complete work tasks following established procedures and protocols set by the International Office.
